Kasey Galang leads the team that brings AR/VR developers greater access, savings and support via programs like Oculus Start, Oculus Launch Pad, developer learner courses and Developer Support. She also guides the Store Operations across all Oculus devices. Having spent over 20 years in the tech industry, her passion lies in helping current generation developers - and fostering the next, through the crucial stages of development and launch. Kasey is a Bay Area native and grew up watching her hometown grow from The Valley of Hearts Delight to Silicon Valley. This experience led to a passion in both tech and farming. As such, she enjoys balancing the work she does helping VR developers make their dreams a reality with her work in her local community teaching safe food preservation as a Master Food Preserver and raising her own household farm. Her career tenure travels through the dot com boom to tech publishing back to early stage start-ups. She can tell you about "pink slip parties" and all about the early days of Macworld. She was an early employee at Facebook and helped launch Facebook Ads - laying the groundwork for the robust direct response advertiser community that exists today. She co-founded a company based on collective consumption and worked on a mobile analytics and marketing platform for game developers. She found herself returning to Facebook as a boomerang growing her current role with Oculus developers and she couldn't be more fulfilled in all of her work.
