VR is best experienced while wearing a headset. But for many users, their first experience is watching someone else in VR on a 2D surface, either in person or online. We’ll discuss how to make your game more watchable and attractive to users on these surfaces with Casting and Mixed Reality Capture. We’ll also share best practices to empower influencers to create content around your game. Finally, we’ll discuss some new announcements around turning users into promoters of your game or app.
Greg is a Product Manager in the VR Developer group at Facebook supporting new ways for developers to promote their games by bridging the gap between users in VR and those in the real world around them. He also supports the VR developer experience, building new ways to connect devs with useful tools, service, and information to help them be successful. Greg has spent the last seven years in product roles on gaming platforms, including Twitch and Xbox Live, where he focused on multiplayer, live streaming/game video and audience interaction/participation. He fondly remembers his first experience with VR in the mid 90's at an outdoor arcade called Cybersmith at Fanueil Hall in Boston, and is very glad the medium has moved forward from there!
